  • Consider hiring a home inspector. Sellers can use home inspectors, too! Consider hiring a home inspector to go through your property. A home inspector will draw up a detailed report that will allow you to address small issues before your property goes onto the market.
  • Prepare your property. While it’s not always a good idea to go through major home renovation projects that don’t add significant square footage, it’s a good idea to do a thorough cleaning of your property, get some serious lawn work done or make some relatively minor cosmetic changes. If you don’t have the time, you can always hire professionals to take some of the burden off of you.
